Seeds of Faith in a Revolutionary Land - The Catholic History of the United States

The story of the Catholic Church in the United States doesn't begin in 1776, but that’s where this series picks up. In this opening episode, we trace the long and winding road of Catholicism in North America—from Norse Greenland to the shores of Florida and set the stage for the Church’s role in a new and rapidly changing nation. This episode also offers a sweeping overview of American history between the Revolution and the Civil War to give you context for what’s to come.#CatholicHistory #USHistory #HistoryPodcast #CatholicChurch #AmericanRevolution #CatholicsInAmerica #ChurchAndStateSupport the show:Buy me a coffee! https://buymeacoffee.com/historyofthepapacyPatreon: http://patreon.com/historyofthepapacyBuy me a book: http://bit.ly/40ckJ8EHave questions, comments or feedback?
