Self-acceptance: Candid Conversation with Kenny LaJoy

from Living with FASD · host Patricia Kasper

Living with FASD is a human interest and educational show for people living with, or caring for those with, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, by someone with both professional and living experience with an FASD. In this week's Candid Conversation, I talk Kenny LaJoy, author of It's Okay to be You: Living Well with FASD or other Disabilities. Kenny is a remarkable young man, author, entrepreneur, and pizza store manager. He lives with FASD and its daily challenges. Kenny's earliest years were spent in a Kyrgyzstan orphanage, where he developed a reliance upon God. When Kenny was eight, he joined the LaJoy family through adoption and moved to the United States. Kenny's faith and family remain central to his life. Our fascinating discussion is a testament to the power of self-acceptance and everyone listening will have much to ponder.
