Self-care is not a once in a while thing to do when you're feeling a type of way. It is a necessity to remind yourself of your own inherent worth and deservingness. It doesn't have to be expensive days at the salon or spa. It can truly be as simple as the ideas listed below:Brain dump journaling – write down EVERYTHING that is on your mind.Delete or mute draining social media accounts.Take a 24-hour news detox.Reorganize one small spaceWrite a letter you never send to someone you’re holding resentment toward.Let yourself cry without trying to fix it.Revisit a childhood hobby (coloring, puzzles, crafts)Celebrate a small win — something you usually dismiss.Sit with a cup of coffee or tea for 15 minutes without your phoneSay “no” to one thing you don’t actually want to do.Leave a conversation that drains youStop over-explaining yourself.Sit outside and get sunlight for 10 minutes.Take a slow walk with no destination.Listen to music with headphones and close your eyes.Do a body scan meditation.Review your finances and make a plan.Apply for a job that scares you a little.Start a creative project.Declutter 10 items from your house.Pray or meditateWrite a gratitude list for the daySpend time in nature without headphones.Taking care of yourself is often misconstrued as time intensive, expensive and a luxury.
