Maar komende zondag gaan de Senegalezen dan eindelijk naar de stembus voor de presidentsverkiezingen. Vorige week al werden twee prominente oppositieleden vrijgelaten uit de gevangenis. Blijft Senegal met de verkiezingen hét voorbeeld van democratie in een regio vol staatsgrepen? We vragen het Joost Bastmeijer, correspondent in de Senegalese hoofdstad Dakar.
