SESSION #232 (Feat. Henry Hacking)

from Redroom Sessions - An Electronic Music Podcast - Deep House, Techno, Chill, Disco · host Redroom Sessions

HENRY HACKING(London,UK) Established as one of the most popular UK DJs on the Asian circuit, regularly rocking clubs from Malaysia to Indonesia to Thailand to China, his versatility has ensured he is a firm favourite not only within the big room super-clubs, but also the more underground hangouts. His fast growing reputation behind the decks has seen him headline at a number of the world’s best clubs, including Sky Garden (Bali), Galame (China), Ce La Vi (Singapore) and Ministry of Sound (London), alongside his residency in Ibiza for Pukka Up’s ‘WNDRLND’ at Eden and ‘House In Paradise’ at O-Beach. Previously, as one half of house duo, The BeatThiefs, Henry went solo in 2018. His distinctive house productions immediately turned heads and was quickly signed by EDX with a number of releases through his Sirup Label. He also remixed a number of artists including UK star, Harrison and one of Australia’s biggest dance acts, The Stafford Brothers. Momentum was building and in 2019, Henry delivered five killer house cuts; ‘Get Down’ on respected German imprint, Tiger Records, ‘Roller’ and ‘Just Fine’ on Pukka Up Deep, and Henry’s incredible revamp of Inaya Day's hit, 'Nasty Girl’, plus piano anthem ‘Higher’ on Vicious Recordings. Both Nasty Girl and Higher achieved significant chart placements reaching the top 5 on the Australia ‘Aria’ and UK ‘Music Week’ club charts, plus scoring a #1 on global dance site Traxsource. Step into 2020 and the progress is clear to see. His releases have combined over 3 million streams on Spotify alone, with countless support across clubland and radio, including 9 plays on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Party Anthems’ and weekly Kiss FM support. His single ‘New Love’ reached #1 on the UK Music week upfront club chart and number #6 on the commercial club chart. 2021 has already hit the ground running with another number 1 on the UK Music Week Club Chart with his single ‘Brand New’, which also reached number 3 on the Commercial Club Chart. His latest track’ Touch Me’, a remake of the classic 90s hit by ‘Cathy Dennis’, is flying, already into 6 figures of streams and looks set to score him yet another top 10 in the UK Club Charts.
