Chase Sexton, the AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross champion under Red Bull KTM, has hinted at a future ambition to compete in the MXGP World Championship, potentially marking a significant chapter towards the end of his racing career. Jett Lawrence, the reigning 450SMX champion riding for Team Honda HRC, has boldly announced his aim to win as he prepares for the opening playoff round in Charlotte this weekend, marking his comeback after an injury-induced break.  Lawrence secured his first Monster Energy Supercross 450SX championship earlier in the year but had to abandon his Pro Motocross title defense following a thumb injury sustained in a practice crash halfway through the season. Nate Thrasher, riding for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, finished 11th overall at the second round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship despite competing with a broken collarbone. He revealed after Hangtown that he had not only broken his collarbone but also bent the surgical plate from a prior injury. With just over a month until the eagerly awaited Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXON) at Matterley Basin from October 4th to 6th, Team Manager Mark Chamberlain, alongside the ACU Motocross Commission, has announced the riders who will represent Great Britain: Tommy Searle in MXGP, Max Anstie in MX2, and Conrad Mewse in MX Open. This year, Team Spain is set to be among the most formidable contenders at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations. Jorge Prado, the reigning MXGP World Champion, will represent Spain in the United Kingdom from October 4-6, 2024.
