Written by Ray Carlton [verse 1] Shabbat Shalom, dear family, sweet mishpocah and friends; let us consider all our ways, as Torah well contends. Shabbat Shalom, King Solomon, did so his wisdom share; with one and all who loved the truth, who would their hearts prepare. (who would their hearts prepare) [chorus] Shalom! Shalom! O let us love, O let us live aright; we are His ones He has redeemed, we are His salt and light. Shalom! Shalom! Let us rejoice, in Him Who paid the price, for all our sins, that perfect Lamb, the Lamb of Sacrifice. (the Lamb of Sacrifice) [verse 2] Shabbat Shalom, our Lord has said, to ever watch and pray; lest you be weak and fall to sin, when temptings come your way. Shabbat Shalom, we guard our hearts, our minds and souls to keep; Him blest and honored, and obeyed, lest we should sin and weep. (lest we should sin and weep) [verse 3] Shabbat Shalom, Apostle Paul, did teach young Timothy; that all who name the name of Christ, forsake iniquity. Shabbat Shalom, we are His saints, we are for whom He died; that we might be His chosen ones, He cleansed and sanctified.
