Sharon Snyder worked at the Jackson County Courthouse for 34 years and is now out of a job. 20-year-old Robert Nelson was convicted in 1984 of rape and sentenced to 50 years behind bars, today at the age of 49 he is a free man. It was the undying efforts of his sister, Sea Dunnell who continued to fight even after Judge David Byrn had denied Robert's request for a DNA test to prove his innocence. It was the actions of Sharon Snyder, a judicial administrative assistant with 30 years of experience when she gave Sea the information needed to properly file the DNA motion Robert needed. Robert did file a proper motion for the DNA test, eventually winning his freedom and Judge Byrn fired Sharon Snyder for breaking rules of the court. Today Host Keith Brown El talks with Sharon Snyder about what she did that got her fired and why she risked her job for someone she had never met.
