from Career Conversations

I am very excited to present our third episode to you. When I started the interview I actually wanted to talk about relationship building and networking because Shawnmarie spent a major part of her career doing exactly that. She had a very vivid career as scientist, patent lawyer, consultant and CEO in several big companies until she finally decided to become a career coach. I believe that her advise is really valuable because she actually has experience in what she is talking about, not like most coaches that give advice in things that they have never experienced themselves. During the interview we realised that we both are really into mediation and that Shawnmarie and that Shawnmarie, being a scientist, has a huge amount of neuroscience knowledge about what is going on in the meditating brain. With all the pseudo-science meditation stuff out there, this was a great opportunity to actually learn more about meditation. Especially we talk about how to use meditation to learn what it is that you want to do with your life, how to gain mental strength to achieve your goals and how to identify and overcome false believes that keep you from achieving your goals. Hopefully, you will enjoy the episode as much as I did. Once again, you can find it here, or on iTunes, Stitcher, Castbox, Pocketcast or TuneIn. Enjoy ;) Many thanks to [email protected] for providing us with the free audio effect "Royal sparkle whoosh centre.wav" on https://freesound.org/people/[email protected]/sounds/170523/ at the intro and outro of this podcast The sound was shortened 2sec.
