Welcome Mallory Pendergast, our Miss Texas 2021! Mallory is a long time competitor in the Miss America Organization and took home the title of Miss Texas 2021. During her year, she advocated for suicide prevention and walked away with a top 10 placement and a preliminary award at Miss America. After her year as a titleholder she went on to become a Speech Pathologist and married her now late husband, Garrett Pendergast. Garrett was later diagnosed with brain cancer and she now shares their story through social media with the hope of showcasing "joy through it all." This podcast covers her journey through grief after the loss of her husband, Miss America competition highlights and tips for finding the joy through it all.
