Who are the Nicolaitans? They are people within the church of Ephesus who hold on to the demonic doctrine of Balaam (Revelations 2:14). What is The Meaning of Nicolaitans? 1. The Greek Word for Nicolaitans means destruction of people. 2. The Root Greek Word for the word Nicolaitans is the “Nikolaos” which comes from the compound word “Nikao—Laos”. This means “Overcomer of People.” The Nicolaitans have this spirit of always trying to overcome or dominate the people of God through infiltration and introduction of strange doctrines and believes contrary to what God has given them through.   The Nicolaitans Upholds The Doctrine Of Balaam (Numbers 25:1-9, Numbers 31:12-16) The demonic Strategy is to uphold the Doctrine of Balaam to Balak against the people of God.
