Thomas låg på IVA (Intensivvårdavdelningen på Danderyds sjukhus) i 51 dagar, 36 av dessa låg han nedsövd i respirator. Det som han trodde bara var en ”mancold deluxe” som han kallar det, var Covid19. Han svävade mellan liv och död varje dag. Tillsammans med journalisten Marcus Birro skrev de boken ”36 dygn i dödens väntrum”, som inte bara skildrar sjukdomen.
