Sh'mini Atzeret and Simchat Torah
from Tamah's Torah Teaching Hosted by Connie
Send us Fan Mail This is a brief teaching concerning the last of the Mandated Holy Days/Designated Festivals of G-d in the cycle beginning with Pesach (Passover). Sh'mini Atzeret which although in most Jewish sects is celebrated in conjunction with Sukkot, Sh'mini Atzeret is a holiday in its own right. I will also discuss Simchat Torah which although is not mandated, is celebrated in thanks for G-d allowing us to live at this time to have the privilege of reading and learning more of G-d's Torah beginning once again at the first chapter B'resheit (Genesis). Thanks to G-d for bringing us to this time once more. May we glorify His Name with wisdom from above and a deeper understanding of His instructions. *As we at Beth Elohim Messianic Synagogue follow the Zadok calendar, celebration of Sh'mini Atzeret and Simchat Torah will held on Wednesday October 7.
