Should You Pay To Be Meta Verified?- EP 107

from Drunk On Social · host Drunk On Social

Should You Pay To Be Meta Verified? Meta is now allowing you to become verified in the United States for Facebook and Instagram. Jeff and Tristan discuss the process and whether or not it is worth it for you personally or for your business. Tune in. Episode Highlights: Tristan says he was on board when Twitter started with the verified option and he pays Twitter for that.   Tristan asks Jeff if it is worth it for Facebook and Instagram. Should you do for your business? As an individual? Jeff believes it may actually help your reach at some point and is protection from getting a clone + access to support which is so far pretty much non-existent. At about.meta.com you can see more information and click the join waitlist button. What does the process to get verified look like? Tristan goes to his Facebook to show the creator support tab where you can chat with a live agent. He has used it multiple times with people trying to hack your account and they always get back to you. At the very beginning of COVID, Jeff brought Tristan back into TikTok. He talks about how during the bad press for TikTok they were gaining momentum. If you have not listened to the podcast, Business Wars, look up SnapChat versus Facebook and you will learn a little bit about Zuckerberg, too. Tristan and Jeff wondered if Facebook was going to try to take out TikTok by going directly to the government, meaning Congress, senators, and people of power. Tristan says, “Google ‘Targeted Victory hired by Facebook”. Jeff talks about the anti-TikTok-ers and the debacle of Facebook and Google trying to take over and get rid of TikTok. Is it fair? What else will they be willing to do? The power of Facebook and Google is manipulating and a big concern. What can you learn about PR to grow your business? Jeff hates the thought of non-organic growth and explains why as well as the basis of PR companies. Jeff just recorded a fun little parody video where he put on a wig and pretended to be Joe Biden.   Resources Mentioned: Business Video School: https://www.bizvideoschool.com/ Drunk on Social Website: www.drunkonsocial.com Drunk on Social Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/136264191062786/  Drunk on Social Instagram: https://www.facebook.com/groups/136264191062786/  Jeff Pfitzer Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jeffpfitzer/  Jeff Pfizer TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@jeffpfitzer?lang=en  Tristan Ahumada Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/labcoatagents  TristanAhumadaYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJ6o6B5JPEBP57hu9VdzT4Q Lab Coat Agents Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/labcoatagentsR Lab Coat Agents Twitter: https://twitter.com/LabCoatAgents Lab Coat Agents Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/labcoatagents/         Meta Launches New Meta Verified Program in the US https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/meta-launches-new-meta-verified-program-in-the-us/645360/ Meta Announces ‘Meta Verified’ Initial Test https://drunkonsocial.com/meta/meta-announces-meta-verified-initial-test/ Meta Verified to Solve Facebook Account Issues? https://drunkonsocial.com/meta/meta-verified-to-solve-facebook-account-issues/ Introducing Meta Verified https://about.meta.com/technologies/meta-verified Facebook Help https://www.facebook.com/help/creator Facebook vs Snapchat - Vanishing Act by Business Wars https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/facebook-vs-snapchat-vanishing-act
