SHRADDHA SHRESTHA is a street artist, illustrator and muralist from Kathmandu and active since around 2011 she is one of the leading figures in Nepal’s emerging urban art scene. Her work is characterized by colorful, often imaginative figures inspired by her childhood and traditional cultural influences from the city of Patan. In her murals she combines urban graffiti aesthetics with local motifs and stories. In addition to creating in public spaces, she also works as an illustrator and is part of the VIRANGANA COLLECTIVE, which published the first comic anthology in Nepal created exclusively by women. SHRADDHA represents a new generation of Nepalese urban artists who use the streets to highlight cultural identity, imagination and social issues. She did huge murals with the FEARLESS COLLECTIVE, had exhibitions around the world like in the RUBIN MUSEUM in New York or was part of the fantastic festival MILLERNTOR GALLERY in Hamburg, Germany.
