A lamp is not meant to be hidden but placed where its light can be seen. In the same way, God’s truth is meant to be revealed. The lamp points to God’s Word, the promised Messiah, and the witness of Christians who reflect Christ to the world. Jesus is the true Light who entered a dark and broken world, bringing salvation, hope, and the promise of new life to all who trust in Him.But Jesus calls us to more than simply hearing the truth. He asks how we will respond to it. Those who receive God’s truth with faith and humility grow in understanding, while those who reject it risk losing even what they have. Will you hide the light or let it shine?
