Signs Of the Time

It's said that the Titanic sank because of cheaprivets and poor planning. Faced with a shortage ofquality bolts, the shipbuilders used substandardones that popped when the ship hit the iceberg. So,how sturdy are the bolts of your faith? Reinforcethem daily with God's Word, seasons of in-depthprayer, and fortifying fellowship. Describing signs ofthe end times, Jesus said, "All these are thebeginning of birth pains" (Mt 24:8 NIV), and birthpains signal the onset of the final push. Theobstetrician says, "This will hurt for a while, but it'sgoing to get better" and Jesus offers us the sameassurance about end-time events. We're in the finalhours-just a few pushes away from delivery. Johnsaid: "I saw 'a new heaven and…earth, ..the firstheaven and……earth had passed away, and……the newJerusalem, coming down out of heaven...preparedas a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And Iheard a loud voice from the throne saying...'God'sdwelling place is now among the people, and he willdwell with them. They will be his people, and Godhimself will be…their God. He will wipe every tearfrom their eyes. There will be no more death ormourning or crying or pain, for the old order ofthings has passed away.' He who was seated on thethrone said, 'I am making everything new!'" (Rev21:1-5 NIV). People everywhere are searching foranswers. So don't isolate, engage!
