Simon Says: Independence is the Path to Freedom on Recovery Now with Kim J

from A Recovery Now · host Kim Justus

Kim and Simon discuss Independence as the Path to Personal Freedom. Whether it's a Societal Revolution, as we recognize coming up on July 4th .. Or a personal decision and subsequent action, that results in more personal autonomy. Freedom is the result of a desire for change, which takes sacrifice, courage, determination, commitment, and a sense of the visionary.  Independence helps us shed the chains that bind us to a sense of total control from other people, places, things, or institutions. Be it certain departures from the effects of our disability, or the desire to legally (or through revolt), create or become a legal citizen of a more adaptable nation. This show is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life's terms. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery. This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me." We focus on the four A's of Recovery: Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation. This is a place for survivor's striving to become thrivers, which takes a large Warrior spirit! Host is Kim Justus, author of In a Flash: Miracles Here and Beyond found at inaflash.org & "Like" at facebook.com/inaflash.org - Co-Host the last Wednesday of each month is Simon Lewis, Author of Rise and Shine, TedX Talk, and more!
