Slam-A-Ham Madness (Part 1)
from The Kings of Punk · host The Kings of Punk
The first annual Kings of Punk March Madness is upon us and we are diving in deep with the discography of the legendary label Slap-A-Ham-Records. Founded by Chris Dodge of Spazz fame (among a few dozen other bands he has done), Slap-A-Ham Records chronicled a sonically diverse scene of extreme and ambitious bands within the hardcore underground not only in California, but around the world. This episode we go through the first 16 match ups (32 releases in total). Every release was chosen randomly to ensure an unbiased examination from us. Join us as we talk about some incredible bands from a scene that finds scant representation in the mythos of punk rock.
