Slow Burn = Lasting Results

from Good Day Health · host Doug Stephan

On today’s Good Day Health Show - ON DEMAND…Dr. Jack Stockwell, a NUCCA Chiropractor and GAPS Practitioner in SLC, UT (866.867.5070 | ForbiddenDoctor.com | JackStockwell.com), covers the the biggest news in the health and wellness space from a holistic, naturopath perspective. In this episode, Dr. Jack focuses on the correlation between diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, obesity, and the nutritional aspect. When the human body is not functioning at its optimum potential, it’s often a cause of dietary and lifestyle choices, leading to the aforementioned diseases. Ofttimes, one of these illnesses leads to the others arising as well. At Dr. Jack’s clinic in Salt Lake City, he specializes in curing diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and high cholesterol with lifestyle changes. The more committed his patients are to these changes, the less reliant they will be on prescription medications. Also, the importance of exercise in health is crucial to the benefits of overall health. Dr. Jack recommends a “slow burn” approach. This is where you might be doing a bench press and push it up and let it down, but you do it very slowly, and only around 4-6 repetitions per set, and about once every 5-7 days, or twice weekly… not being in the gym every single day. Studies show when you exercise in this manner, the positive effects last in your body for the next 5-7 days. Lastly, Doug joins for an engaging discussion on brain fog and why generations before us didn’t appear to struggle with it the way we do today. In large part, their diets were completely different, they weren’t taking multiple drugs everyday, they didn’t have the artificial foods to the degree we do today, and they didn’t have the vast level of vaccinations we do today. There are a lot of toxicities we have today that didn’t exist, or weren’t as abundant, generations before. Website: GoodDayHealthShow.com Social Media: @GoodDayNetworks
