Ispirato allo spettacolare scenario dell'eclisse solare del 12 agosto 2016 , osservato a Porto Ferro (Alghero) -SardegnaSLOWING DOWN [Verse 1] August evening, fading gold, You took my hand, the air turned cold. The moon moved in, the daylight thinned, We heard the leaves dance in the wind. [Chorus] Slowing down, slowing down, Let that bass line roll around. Nothing more to chase right now, Stay beside me, we’re slowing down. [Verse 2] The man next door put down his phone, Dragged out a chair, said, “Take one home.” We watched the shadows cross the street, Forgot the hours, found the beat. [Chorus] Slowing down, slowing down, Let that bass line roll around. Nothing more to chase right now, Stay beside me, we’re slowing down. [Verse 3] Weeks have passed, the rush is back, Morning trains along the track. That borrowed chair is by my door, I sit a little longer than before. [Final Chorus] Slowing down, slowing down, Let that bass line roll around. Sun came back, but we know how To keep a little slowing down.
