My Special Guest Today is Marc Platt. He’s a singer-songwriter and CEO of Radio Candy Media. He's just released his latest album, The Midlife Thing - April 14. He's a radio host, his show “We Love You Beatles” is a one-hour show featuring all things FAB. He runs 6 radio stations broadcasting from every corner of the globe. Marc's Radio Candy company focuses on independent music artists worldwide. Radio Candy services more than 100 internet radio stations and also is an admin for Radio Indie Alliance, a free chart service that caters only to independent radio stations. He manages the band The Tearaways. The Tearaways is a pop/rock band from Santa Barbara, California with a 'British Invasion meets the California Sun' sound. The group was co-founded by primary songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist John Finseth in the early 1980s. The group tours worldwide. He has just developed a new app for musicians, in the beta-testing stage, ClickRockGo. Marc Platt has been a well-known fixture of the Los Angeles music scene for nearly four decades. He began his career in 1983, taking an entry-level position at the newly formed label, Rhino Records. Rhino Entertainment Company is an American specialty record label and production company founded in 1978. It is currently the catalog division for Warner Music Group. The job gave him an invaluable education in every aspect of the business. He is a world-renowned advocate for indie musicians trying to break into today’s industry and he's creating more opportunities for emerging artists in Los Angeles and around the world.
