So Hum | Avani’s Guided Meditation
from Avani’s Guided Meditation · host iAvani.com
In this meditation, We bring awareness to “So Hum” mantra. The Vedic mantra "So Hum" is a reflection of the vibrational sound of the breath as cognized by the ancient sages and seekers: “So” of the inhale and “Hum” of the exhale. It also carries a contemplative meaning: "I am that" (so = "I am" and hum = "that"). In the Vedic philosophy it means identifying oneself with the universe or ultimate reality. That in whom reside all beings and who resides in all beings, who is the giver of grace to all, the Supreme Soul of the universe, the limitless being -- I am that. Amritbindu Upanishad “That which permeates all, which nothing transcends and which, like the universal space around us, fills everything completely from within and without, that Supreme non-dual Brahman -- that thou art.” Sankaracharya The So Hum meditation is a simple but powerful tool that uses the breath and the repetition of a mantra to quiet the mind and relax the body. This meditation has used the background ‘So Hum” Marta sung beautifully by A Choir group played on Youtube by the meditative mind. This meditation will help us move beyond our mind’s busy chatter to the peace of present moment awareness. This meditation is also about connecting to mother earth and feeling grounded, connected, and supported. To touch base to our inner silence, the source of infinite creativity, infinite potentiality, infinite connectedness, peace, love, and blissfulness to manifest the same in our lives.
