Galway United produced a massive result in the SSE Airtricity League Men's Premier Division in Oriel Park on Friday evening (21st August 2026). Goals from Ed McCarthy (9 mins) and Kris Twardek (55 mins) gave them a two-goal advantage as they spoiled the Dundalk centenary celebrations before Trevor Clarke pulled a goal back. United remain in seventh but are now only four points from fourth place, and five points clear of the relegation places.
