SOCCER/LGFA: Former Liverpool captain and Galway footballer Niamh Fahey with Galway Bay FM's Jonathan Higgins

The Ladies Gaelic Football Association continued the "For the Love of Our Sport" campaign on Thursday (21st May 2026). Acting as a rallying cry for the 2026 season, the campaign aims to transform the nation's passion for women’s sport into increased attendances and powerful support across the upcoming TG4 Championship campaigns. Former Galway footballer and former Irish international soccer player Niamh Fahey, along with Dublin footballer Leah Caffrey, spoke today on the campaign.
