Softball makes history, baseball heads to hoover, and a big week ahead

Mississippi State softball is heading to the Super Regionals for just the second time in program history. Robbie Faulk breaks down an exceptional regional run — 41 wins on the season, 34 combined strikeouts from Alyssa Faircloth and Peja Goold, 21 consecutive scoreless innings, and a Faircloth no-hitter against Oregon. Coach Samantha Ricketts has this program at a level it has never been before, and now Oklahoma stands in the way of a trip to the Women's College World Series. On the baseball side, the Diamond Dawgs head to Hoover with their eyes on hosting an NCAA Regional at Dudy Noble Field. Mississippi State enters the SEC Tournament with momentum to build on and a chance to lock up a home regional in front of the best fans in college baseball.
