In this episode of Solid Ground, Simon has a chuckle at a recent Green MPs speech in parliament, declaring no woman every shoplifts for fun … yet seemingly has already forgotten a certain ex-colleague of theirs. He questions how the Department of Corrections every allowed two sexual offenders to marry and share a prison cell together. Simon also shares the latest UNICEF data around child malnutrition in the Middle East, and commenting how mainstream media will never report the findings as it doesn’t suit the anti-Israel narrative. Simon then discusses a New Zealand reporter’s decision to deliberately make a child fatherless, and then shares his experience speaking as part of the Free Speech Union’s “Good Faith Yarns” euthanasia debate in Wellington. He wraps up by quickly discussing Meta losing a court case over its targeting of children online, changes to how parents are informed about what is happening in schools, and a new Members Bill around reporting child harm.
