Someone in the Netherlands Wants Alberta to Separate

from Quiet Canines Podcast · host Michael

First it was a leak of nearly three million Alberta voter files. Now we are finding out that the videos pushing Alberta to separate are being made in the Netherlands.CBC and Radio-Canada just exposed a network of YouTube channels with over 40 million views. These are faceless channels run by people in Europe who took an online course on how to make passive income on YouTube. They hired actors to pretend they were Albertans. They used AI-generated voiceovers and sensational headlines like “Alberta is officially the 51st State” to farm clicks and exploit our political divisions for profit. This is slopaganda. Low quality, AI-assisted, mass produced content designed to manipulate your emotions and your politics, made by people who could not find Alberta on a map.One of the hired actors, a Calgary man, had no idea his audition video was even being used. When CBC tracked him down his response was blunt. “I feel so violated. I’m not part of a separatist movement. I’m literally the opposite.”When CBC contacted the leader of the Alberta Prosperity Project about the videos, he said he had never heard of them. Then he said: “If it influences the vote our way, I can’t see how that would be negative for us.”These people do not care about Alberta’s future. They care about ad revenue from your outrage. If any of these videos showed up in your feed, come tell me about it on Substack. It is free and I respond to every comment.
