Although it aired on NBC one month after the premiere of Halloween, it was filmed immediately before Halloween. The core cast (Lauren Hutton, Adrienne Barbeau, David Birney), Carpenter's script and direction, and the cinematography of Robert D. Hauser make Someone's Watching Me! a film to seek out. It's an obvious proving ground for many of the attributes we've come to expect from a Carpenter film, many of which he uses in Halloween.
