Sometimes we have to intervene

What would you do if you overheard a phone conversation that sounded like the person was being scammed? Last year, I accompanied my mother to an appointment at her doctor’s office. I overheard a gentleman sitting across me making a phone call. He was speaking loud enough that it was hard to ignore the conversation. After less than a minute, I jumped up out of my chair and told the man he was being scammed.
