South Asian Heritage Month - Ep1 - Umayyah

To mark South Asian Heritage Month this year, we are sharing stories from people in the Creative Support community about their heritage and culture to celebrate and recognise the significant impact of South Asian communities across the UK and beyond. The theme for this year is 'Roots to Routes', exploring the physical and personal journeys of South Asian communities across generations. This episode features staff member Umayyah speaking about her experiences in the UK as a Pakistani woman, and connecting with her culture in her early 20's alongside diving into assimilation and her perspective of euro-centrism.
