Sparkling Red Wine : Rare Hybrid Grape “Marechal Foch”

The rare hybrid red wine grape known as Marechal Foch was originally created in Alsace France, intended to withstand cold climates. Today we taste a sparkling red wine Pet Nat offering produced from Marechal Foch that was grown in The Appalachian Mountains. Pleb Urban Winery in Asheville NC’s River Arts District was sadly devastated during Hurricane Helene but its prior operation was acclaimed for creating these craft wine selections. #winepodcast #marechalfoch #hybridgrape
