Speaking on Business: Family Support Center

from Salt Lake Chamber · host Salt Lake Chamber

This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. For decades, the Family Support Center has been helping Utahns navigate life’s challenges. Through crisis care, family support programs, parenting resources and more they provide the tools and support families need to thrive. Executive Director, Lori Cox, joins us with more. Lori Cox: At the Family Support Center, we see what can happen when people are given support, tools and opportunities to strengthen their families' journey. Whether it’s a parent trying to navigate their child’s challenging behaviors, an overwhelmed parent who needs a safe place for their child or a mother escaping domestic violence or facing homelessness, every family deserves support when life becomes overwhelming. That’s where the Family Support Centers step in, providing resources, guidance and a safe place for Utah families when they need it most. The Family Support Center’s PERKS program, free nurseries and LifeStart Village exist so families don’t have to face hard moments alone. But none of this happens without community support. When you give, volunteer, refer someone you love or simply share our mission, you help strengthen families and prevent child abuse. Visit us at FamilySupportCenter.org to see ways you can get involved. Derek Miller: By meeting families where they are and walking alongside them through difficult moments, the Family Support Center is creating lasting change. They are strengthening families and communities for generations to come across Utah, today and into the future. I'm Derek Miller, with the Salt Lake Chamber, Speaking on Business.
