Speaking on Business: PACS

from Salt Lake Chamber · host Salt Lake Chamber

This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. Ten years ago, Utahns Jason Murray and Mark Hancock founded PACS, a post-acute health care company. In April PACS launched a successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange and now has 275 facilities in 14 states. PACS’s VP of communication Brooks Stevenson tells us more. BROOKS STEVENSON: PACS is revolutionizing the delivery, leadership, and quality of post-acute care nationally. We started PACS because we felt there was a better way to provide quality care in the post-acute health care sector. And as we execute on our mission, we are making a tremendous difference in the lives of the most vulnerable population in our country. We’ve taken decades of hands-on experience in post-acute care and translated that into a model that greatly reduces administrative burdens for our leadership teams; we do the heavy lifting on the business side, which gives our local teams more time to focus on the care, well-being, and quality of life of their patients and their employees. PACS elevates the delivery of local health care by providing technological and human resources, tools, and guidance, and empowering facility leaders and their teams to make local decisions based on patient needs. It’s a simple philosophy that healthcare is local, and the focus on care is our top priority. DEREK MILLER: Utah is a leader in healthcare services and technology. PACS is a national leader in skilled nursing and post-acute care. The combination of PACS business model and Utah’s healthcare talent provides a ready solution to the challenges facing the industry. I’m Derek Miller with the Salt Lake Chamber, Speaking on Business. Originally aired: 7/26/24
