Speaking on Business: Park City Resort

from Salt Lake Chamber · host Salt Lake Chamber

This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. Park City Resort offers 7,300 acres of skiable terrain — making it the largest lift-accessed ski resort in the U.S. — with more than 330 trails, 43 lifts, and two vibrant base areas to explore. Communications Manager, Emily McDonald, joins us with more. Emily McDonald: This coming winter, during the 2025/26 season, we are thrilled to introduce the brand-new 10-passenger Sunrise Gondola at Canyons Village. This state-of-the-art gondola is designed to enhance mountain access and better withstand windy conditions — making for quicker, smoother rides straight to the snow and our beautiful mid-mountain terrain. It’s an exciting step forward in improving the guest experience at Park City Mountain. As part of this project, we’ve officially retired the iconic Sunrise double chairlift. But it’s not just going away — it’s becoming part of something meaningful. On June 11th, we invite the entire community to join us at Canyons Village for a special chair lift auction benefiting local nonprofits. Approximately 50 chairs will be available, including 12 custom-designed by local artists around the theme “What community means to me.” Come celebrate with us, support a great cause, and take home a piece of Park City history. Derek Miller: With the new Sunrise Gondola, expanded access, and community-focused events like the lift chair auction, Park City Resort is offering more than ever. Learn more and plan your visit at ParkCityMountain.com. I'm Derek Miller, with the Salt Lake Chamber, Speaking on Business. Originally aired: 5/29/25
