from Greenwich Streets · host Russell Pruner, Mark Pruner and Tim Agro

Hear the latest market report sharing inventory numbers, an update on the Fed and mortgage deductions, state taxes – all the fun things that ultimately impact your buying power.  In addition we welcome special guest Leonard Steinberg, Chief Evangelist at Compass Real Estate. What is a Chief Evangelist? Its as unorthodox as the founding of Compass Brokerage itself – a model that has gotten the company to be the No. 1 brokerage in the country. 25-year veteran Leonard Steinberg started a firestorm in the real estate profession when he joined the small start-up technology-focused New York-based brokerage Urban Compass as President in mid-2014 after 17 years in the industry. The 50-person company backed by Goldman Sachs, Founders Fund and a host of other private equity entities - that have since been joined by Wellington Fund, Fidelity, Dragoneer, and Softbank Vision Fund and is now a publicly traded company - has mushroomed in about 8 years to a 30,000-person-plus, nationally recognized brand called simply COMPASS with over 325 offices throughout the USA and over $250 billion in sales volume in 2021. Leonard - along with his experienced team - has always remained in daily brokerage, changing his title to Chief Evangelist in 2018 as COMPASS adapted to include multiple regional presidents. He embodies the new breed of modern real estate professional who provide substantive knowledge and insights about all aspects of real estate and full-fledged, elegant, and discreet advisory and brokerage services to sellers, developers, and buyers of New York property with over two decades of experience and several billion dollars in sales. His team was ranked #1 in the USA in 2016 in the WSJ/Real Trends, although rankings has never been a focus. He has worked with numerous developers and their architects including Tadao Ando, Annabelle Selldorf, Cook + Fox, Rogers, Stirk & Harbor, and Sir Norman Foster to help create and market some of Manhattan's most recognizable residential landmarks. Leonard and his highly experienced team also connect clients globally to the best pre-screened agents, best suited to client needs. It all started in March 2023 after I got home from an exchange stay in Chile and felt, that I had to do more for Ukraine, than what I did on my social media accounts and on the streets in the spring and summer of 2022. I think most of us remember that initial period after Ruzzia’s the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Speaking from a European/Danish point of view it was a time of big fear, desperation and uncertainty, but also a time of high hopes, energy and big solidarity. In the very first conversation of the show with Veronika Netrebenko, she says the following about the feelings of Ukrainians during the Maidan Revolution: ”We understood we gotta fight for it, and it was something totally different, we felt different, we felt that we need to fight for it”.
