He nearly drowned and alone ended up in Africa. The sea monster had magical powers that caused instant teleportation. Bazel’s body laid on the sand. Some African women stood around him. To them, Bazel was handsome. The eldest of the women gave him CPR. His brain was suffering from lack of oxygen. She tried to restore oxygen flow. The Egyptian nearly drowned. The women feared Bazel as he opened his eyes and came through, and they put him in a large cage to feed him.Bazel woke with a gasp, sand clinging to his eyelashes. He coughed, seawater sputtering out of his lungs. Blinking, he focused on the dark faces peering through the bars of a cage woven from thick vines. Confusion warred with terror. He remembered the aquarium room, the surge of water, the bizarre seahorse monster… and then nothing.
