Hi there! How was your week?Welcome back to the show—I’m Philip, and today, we’re continuing our journey through one of my all-time favorite classics, The Greatest Salesman in the World, If you joined us last week, you’ll remember we explored the first four scrolls. Before we move on, let’s quickly review those key ideas and talk about how we can actually apply them in our daily lives.Scroll I: Success begins with good habitsOver 40% of what we do every day is automatic—things we do without even thinking, like scrolling our phones, procrastinating, staying up late, or overeating. That’s why building helpful habits is essential for lasting success.Ask yourself:What habits have helped me grow or feel more energized and confident? And what habits have held me back or left me feeling frustrated?A practical tip: Make a habit list. Use symbols like + for helpful ones, – for harmful, and = for neutral. Then, focus on improving just one area of your life. Want to study more effectively? Start by noticing if you’re multitasking or constantly distracted. Want to get healthier? Look at how often you’re sitting still or stress-eating. Awareness is the first step to change. Scroll II: Greet each day with love in your heartLove is a powerful way to shift our mindset. When we choose to look at others with compassion instead of criticism, or gratitude instead of complaint, it lifts our spirit and makes us more emotionally stable.Scroll III: I will persist until I succeedHappiness isn’t found in comfort—it’s found in growth. The feeling of “I pushed through” or “I made it” builds confidence and joy. But we can only get there through persistence. Here’s how to build your endurance:1.Set meaningful goals. Not just “what” you want to do, but “why” it matters. For example: “I want to work out” becomes “I want to have energy to play with my kids.”2.Break big goals into baby steps. Don’t stare at the mountaintop—just take one step today.3.Build a supportive environment. Talk to someone who encourages you. Keep a journal to track your feelings and progress.Remember, success isn’t about being the fastest—it’s about not giving up.Scroll IV: I am unique in all the worldReal confidence doesn’t come from being “better than others.” It comes from knowing who you are and embracing your own uniqueness.Try this:Find a quiet place and list out what makes you different—your way of thinking, your style, your sense of humor, or your ability to empathize. Then, stop comparing yourself to others. Instead, compare yourself to your past. Ask:Am I braver than I was a year ago? Am I kinder, clearer about what I want? That’s the kind of growth that truly matters.Scroll V: Live this day as if it were your lastImagine today was your final day on earth. How would you spend it?Would you waste it doom-scrolling or getting stuck in petty arguments? Probably not. You’d want to connect deeply, say what really matters, and do something meaningful.Try these steps to live each day more intentionally:Scroll VI: I am the master of my emotionsThat’s the core message of today’s scroll. True success isn’t about letting our feelings drive the show—it’s about learning to take the wheel.Emotions are part of being human. But they rise and fall like waves—one minute we’re pumped up, the next we’re drained. If we let emotions control us, we risk making impulsive or damaging decisions. Think about moments when:People of faith often find great strength by giving their emotions to God through prayer. If you enjoy this podcast, feel free to subscribe and share it with someone who might benefit too.See you next week, as we continue with the next scroll. Take care, and God bless!
