I'm looking for my feel, because I'm looking for a harvest for my God is real. Welcome again friends and partners. Glad to have you here on Spiritual Impact today. I'm a Associate Pastor Steve Rose and I'm joined by my pastor, Tim Parton.
I tell you, I'm looking forward and we've got another good and exciting show today. Hey man, you know, we look forward to this time and want to take just a quick moment and give you our personal invitation. If you're ever in our area in Severeville or if you live close by and you don't have a home church, come visit us at a Bundell High Fourship Center. We're just a bunch of country people that just love Jesus and just, you know, want to give us goodness and share his love.
So you have an open invitation anytime you'd like to come visit us. You know, I get excited when I simply think about when God speaks, because when God speaks, something's going to happen. Something is going to take place. There's going to be some type of event and I get excited.
That's why I get so excited about church because he promised that he would be in our midst. But Pastor Steve, when God speaks, I'm telling you, at his work, so that's the thing right there. You know, sometimes it's the steel small voice that is always for students. Sometimes we need it the most.
And we're going to talk today about at his work or at thy work. How many of us today are standing on the Word of God right now? We've got a promise in our life. We know who spoke it to us and you know, we may not have seen it in our physical world yet, but you know what?
I know it's coming because he said, when you pray, he says you believe it. And that means we're supposed to believe it like we already possess it. We already have it. So you keep holding to those promises because they will come to pass in God's timing, hold to the promises and the Word of God.
We're seeing that happen in our church right now. We have been praying for quite some time and trusting we're leaving God. But when you're trying to find it, it's different. But when you just say, okay, God, in your time and suddenly when he moves, things are accelerated.
What seems so long ago, he comes almost faster than you can give up with it. Amen. That's so good. God is so good.
He's good all the time. I want to share a story out of Luke, chapter 5. It says, sorry, verse 1, it says, it came to pass that as the people pressed upon him to hear the Word of God, he stood by the lake, and he said, he saw two ships standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, they were washing their nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon Peters and prayed to him, that he would thrust out a little from the land and he sat down and talked the people out of the ship.
And now when he had left speaking, he sat into Simon, launched out into the deep, and let down your nets for a drought. I mean, let down your nets for a catch of fish. Now here's the carpenter, but we know he's the word, but here's the carpenter telling the fisherman how to fish. And see, you'd think about this, but you know, Peter heard that and he says, verse 5, it says, and Simon answers to say to him, master, we have told all the night.
He says, we have taken nothing. Now here in the physical realm, think about this, the fisherman knows, you know what, I think we'll go fish here because they should have went to deeper waters now. He's know he's said, we've fished all night long, we've got to take anything. But he heard something about when Jesus was teaching.
He said, we have told all night long, and I like that he put the emphasis on him. We have told, we've done it. But he says, although we have told all night long and have taken nothing, he says, never the less. At thy word, I will let down the net.
He says, I don't have anything other than your word, but master, if you're telling me to go out and let down the net, he says, I'm going to go out and let down the net. How many of us will do that when he tells us to go and do something? We go in, actually be obedient. You know, one time we talk about application.
Application is going out there and actually doing what God tells us to do. And that's when we find the blessings of God. Verse 6 says, we're going to go in, we're going to go in, and we're going to go in, and we find the blessings of God. Verse 6 says, and when they had done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes and their net break.
He says, and they beckoned other partners which were in the other ships that they should come and help them, and they came and filled both the ships so that they both began to sink. Just at the word of God. They were obedient to the word of God, and guess what happened? The word of God never failed.
How will do you? And when I look at that, how many times in the word do we see, you know, somebody will just take God at his word? He'll ask them, do you believe that I'm able to do this? That's what's taken.
Talking about two. Faith. If God ever lied to you, I'll tell you the answer to that. No, because God doesn't lie.
What he's word says, he's word means, and we can have stand on that, and we can believe that. And then we talk about the Roman, the centurion. When he came to Jesus, he says, my servant's in home, see it. And what Jesus says, listen, okay, I'm going with you.
He says, no, no, you don't understand. He says, I'm a man who understands authority. He says, oh, you got to do speak the word. Speak the word.
It will be done. I know. I will. Come on now.
And he says, it will be done. And when we're talking about that, when you pray and you believe the word of God, do you believe the word of God will be done? And I have to say, as I said, I have to say, I want to say that every one time in the church, I want to do a program, a special program, and people are going and saying, you know, that ain't going to work. But you know what?
I knew who told me. And at least they had the faith to say, okay, go ahead and try it. Okay? And we did.
And we did. You know, 16 people come and know the Lord and Savior and Jesus Christ through that ministry. And when they were saying it ain't going to work, he says, listen, I just believe and hold to what God tells me. He's talking about the catch of fish there.
Rotten a little song to my mind that says, let down your net, wait out in the water. There's a blessing waiting. waiting, you cannot contain. Let down your net, wait out into water, He's pouring out that latarine.
Think about the old prophet, the sin is servant. They go look for the cloud. It came back, said, I don't see anything. I'm sitting back again, back and back until seventh time.
And on the seventh time, He said, I see a little cloud about the size of a man's hand. The prophet said, get down the mountain, prepare for an abundance of rain. See, the church world too many times, we get focused, we want to see something big before we believe that God is doing it. But like you said, sometimes He moves in that small steel voice, but that speaks so loudly.
And it doesn't matter what we are looking at or what our mind said is, God knows what He has planned for us. Jeremiah says, I know the thoughts that I have towards you, thoughts of peace and a good and not of evil to give you and expect it in. What is our expected in God is eternal blessing, life with Him forever in heaven, which comes to the blood of Jesus Christ. But you know, I can imagine, like you said, Peter, they had fished those waters so many times.
They knew exactly where the fish should be biting. And that's where they were fishing at. You know, sometimes you got to be willing to walk out in a different water. Sometimes you got to be willing to walk out in that deeper water.
I've said many times a lot of the Christians, have you ever had your socks wet, it's a miserable feeling. But if you're going to get wet, you might as well go all in. If you're going swimming, you can't swim in knee deep water. So we might as well launch out into the deep and trust God, because when we're willing to go where it's over our head, it's still under His feet.
Amen. Amen. God will always supply the need above and beyond. Think about the fish and the loaves.
He could have fed the people and that was good enough. But no, they was enough left over. What amazes me? And I often thought they were 12 baskets.
Why 12 baskets? They were 12 apostles to keep carrying the message that our God is a delivering God. He supplies all our need according to his riches and glory, which don't ever run out. It doesn't matter what he gives you.
It doesn't matter what he gives me. He still owns it all. You know, if we were blessed financially enough and our ties were a million dollars and we gave that to the work of God, guess what? He still owns it.
He's not one cent rich, a lesser, a lesser. He owns it all. The cattle of a thousand hills, he owns the hills, he owns everything. And guess what?
He is my supplier. I serve a God that cannot fail. Amen. I serve a God that will bring forth the past and he will get, he will honor faith.
He will honor obedience and he will pour out more than you can contain. Why? Because he wants it to run off you so that it will touch some body else. Amen.
And look at that story that was being told down through hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years. It's still touching hearts and lives of what God can do if you will just trust him and believe him and do what he says. Amen. And interesting to see him, something that you say, you said, you know, we expect the big thing.
We don't see the big things. But you know, even the Word of God tells us he says, despise not small beginnings, taking those steps of faith and beginning to learn to walk by faith and not by sight, trusting him in the things in which he tells us we have in the Word of God. And I tell you, this is just something else. I know I see the passion and fire coming out there.
And you see, when we're talking about the Word of God, that's where our life is. Those who find the Word of God, find life is what the Word God says. And that's what it means. This is where life is.
If we want to stretch a manual, you've got it. It's right here in the Word of God. But we got to get it down and read it. We got to get it out and understanding.
And we got to begin to believe and trust what God tells us. Amen. Share a little quick story with the audience here. Sometimes what God is speaking to us, we don't catch it at first.
Our church was praying for a church building. Was that walking one day praying? It's like God spoke to my heart and said, stop asking for a building. A building is four walls with a roof on it.
Ask what you want. Be specific and be sure to ask for something you know that you can't do. Well, I get excited. I think I'm going to get this.
Well, you know what? Years past, still nothing. One day God brought that back to my mind. He said, do you remember the conversation?
I said, yes, Lord. He said, what do you think that means? And I thought well, God asked what I want. I want to be more like you desire for me.
I want to be what you want me to be. Be specific. I want to be obedient to your will. And as far as what I can't do, I can't do anything without you.
See, he changed my mind from a physical building. I realized that he was talking far more spiritual to me than anything else. And so I forgot it. And once I forgot it, guess what?
We didn't have to go looking for a building. One found us. That's true. Amen.
That's why God's a testimony. That's why God works. Testimonies itself right there. But you know, a lot of times that's the way we are.
We're so busy. You know, even when we pray, I don't ask the people to watch us today. When you pray, you ever stop and listen, you know, a lot of times we pray and we're going, we need this Lord and this person needs healing and this person needs deliverance. We need salvation for this person and his family.
Father, we need help in all these things. But then when we get down, we say, Amen. And then we forget to listen. You know what?
Maybe he wants to speak. That's why I think sometimes when he does tell us something, he says, go and we take off before we say, wait, where are we going? We need to know and understand. He says, where there is no vision in the man's prayers.
We need to understand the revelation God has for us and the path that we need to go and where we're going to. Now I do understand that you did tell Abraham, go out into a language I'll show you. But you know what? He had the word of God.
And so he said, Abraham, you know what? He went into the land which God showed him. But you know, even in then, he told Abraham don't take any ten-folk, what Abraham do, he's nephew with him. That's like we are.
But you know what? God, we've said oftentimes, he can bless us in spite of ourselves. And he'll always bring his word to pass. And when you do kind of mess up a little bit, you think, well, I've messed that up.
Well, no, God just creates another way to get you where he wants you to be. Because we've said time and time again that his calling is over that repentance, gifts and callings of God. And but I'm so glad to know that we serve a God that is always looking out for us. You talked about, and I was thinking, when you go to the store about your prayer given.
First, what if we didn't have a store that had the things that we need? What if we had that store that didn't have a means to get there? What if we had a means to get there and store that didn't have anything to purchase that stuff with? We should be thankful that we have all these things that are disposable to be able to get what we want and need from that grocery store.
And that's a natural thing. Turn that around in a spiritual sense. And in the prayer when we come before God, what's the first thing? We should come and be thankful, be praising because we know that he's able to do this list of things that we need for him to do here, this grocery list that we need.
He's more than able, but he wants us to acknowledge him. That even says in all our ways, acknowledge God. And they said, Lord, will you teach us how to pray? And you know what?
First thing he did, first thing he says, and again, that prayer is not to be repeated. It's a model prayer. It's teach what we need to pray for. But he says, hello, be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. So the first thing we do when we come to prayer, thank him for who he is. You know what? How many of us pray the will of God?
You know what? Sometimes the will of God may take you places that may be uncomfortable. But you know what we're talking about in religious talk, I got you know, church talk. Well, I was talking about God.
I want the will of God. And then God says, okay, this is my will. And God says, I don't want that. You know, that's someplace I don't want to go.
That's someplace I didn't expect to go. But you know, if we really want to see the blessings of God and do what God calls us to do and be happy in the Lord and find that joy of the Lord, which are strength is doing what God calls us to do. I heard a pastor speak on time and he said that he wanted God's will in his life, even if he was disappointed. And what he meant by that, that what he thought that he really needed might not be what he needed at first, because if we go in our life, we're going to end up in a very good place when it's all said and done.
If God gave us what we thought we needed, we would come so short because God is so far ahead of us and he's got so much more than we can even possibly fathom. So I like what he was saying. He was saying, you know, even if I'm initially disappointed because I know in the long run, I know when it's all said and done, that I'm going to be so much better off because if God's will is done in our life, we're going to prosper. We're going to be healthy.
We're going to be happy. We're going to be whole. Will we have problems? Sure.
You know what? We still have God. We still have God. And even though when they were launching out in the deep and even thought, you know what?
We done fish over here. There were no fish. But you got to know who's on the boat with you. See, Jesus created.
It didn't matter if there was no fish at that time. When Jesus speaks at thy word, there's going to be fish absolutely and an abundance. It's got our faith to let down the net. That's the whole thing.
It's all dependent. He says, you know what? He says, I told I know in the natural. He knew that he says at your word.
If you say it's going to be there, let down your net. He says, I'm going to go at your word. I'm going to let down in that. I'll tell you then, glory be to God.
He saw the power of God. You know, even when they're going to Lazarus's tomb, you know, they're sitting there, you know, married Martha and they were weeping and he says, listen, they go, listen, I know he'll live at the resurrection of last day. I am the resurrection and the life. Hallelujah.
It's through him. You know, all these visions, all these dreams, where does that resurrection, where does that come from? The start of those things. It comes from the Spirit of God as he reveals those things to our hearts.
I like that. That revelation of the vision to us. And again, that's the thing and again, as a pastor, how do you, and this is a thing on the spot, how do you transfer that vision to your people? How do you, how do you share that vision?
Well, it's hard to, you know, do it all at one time. So really, it's a process and it's just getting in there. And I think more than anything, pastor Steve, it's, it's pointing constantly to the word of God and trying to learn how to, as you said, walk in the pace that God has set because in the flesh, we always want it faster. But if we get ahead of the process, we may get there faster, but what sacrifice?
And we may end up having to settle because we got ahead of God because if we're ahead of him, then we're not following him. And if we're not following him, we could end up in a place that he never intended for us to be. So as we learn more, as we teach and we, we, we, God and lead the people with trust God, knowing that he is the author and the finisher of our faith. And he will bring it to pass in his time.
So you just have to, you live faith, you live faith in front of him, you teach faith, you preach faith. Yeah, you know, it has to be more than words, it has to be your actions. And somebody said one time said, we've talked about him said, seems like when one door closes, Tim just looks back, looks for another door, well, that in God, that's what happens. But I was first off, if the door closed, God's the one closed it.
People say, well, the enemy can't close anything. God's open. So when you start learning how to truly look at things. So if that door was closed, then I, you know, I used to try to force one open, but then again, as I got wiser, I hope, okay, God, I know the enemy can't close the door that you want me to go through.
So evidently you close that door because it was the enemy that would just be a hindrance. And I'm going to tell you, Pastor Tim, you've done a great job in sharing the vision. And see now is that vision is coming to pass. I think it gets more people excited because see, still until we sort of see that vision begin to take place.
It's still, we don't have the same revelation you do when you get it from God is perfect. And I know we've talked about that when we preach a message. You know, the Lord speaking to us and he's giving us the message and we're sitting there from man, this is good. And we're going to preach it and after we're done with one.
You know, I just didn't do it to justice that we feel that it deserved. But the problem is, we're speaking by the spirit, but we are not God. When we were getting, we were getting the perfect message coming to us. And I tell you, but we do share the gospel and we got there and we share what the word, the word of God.
But I just want to thank you for sharing your vision with us. And now we're seeing all these things take place. People are getting excited about what God's doing and how they're looking for greater things. And the thing that is Pastor Steve is God is his ways are so much higher than ours.
And you know, his wisdom is so much greater. But as we walk and we trust in him, I believe that we have not even begun to see the things that God wants to do in the hearts and lives of those that will believe in him. And you know, people talk about there's a movement happening. Well, I'm gonna tell you, there is a movement happening and it's been, it's coming down from the throne room of glory.
I believe it's that latter rain that that end time ladder rain. And what God is doing, the enemy's not going to be able to stop. You know, we see, we see things going on in the world and we're troubled. But the Bible says that when we see these things to look up, to look up for our redemption, draw with nigh.
See God is getting closer and closer to his people, the true believers. Now those that are going to stand and stand the test. Amen. If you or somebody that runs after every little skirmish that happens, you're not a soldier that can be trusted.
If we're going into battle and I can't trust you to watch my back, I sure don't want to go in where they're shooting at us. Amen. I want somebody that I can count on. The God that we serve, we can count on.
He's never going to leave. He's never going to forsake us. The battle don't get too hot for him. Amen.
He didn't go in the fiery furnace behind the Hebrew children. He was waiting on him on the inside. Same thing with Daniel in the lines then the God that we serve at the Mount of God, God is not a word. What is his word?
He is everlasting. He is true. He is life. He is victory.
He is healing. He is health. He is salvation. It is God.
Amen. And it also says, it is forever settled in heaven. How will you? That means it don't change.
Man's logic changes over time, but God does not. God's word is still true today as it was 2000 years ago. And how will you? I don't know how long he's going to Terry.
If he Terry's another 2000 years, it'll still be just as true then as it is today. Oh yeah. I'll tell you that's good. That's real good.
It's easy. Old friend of mine, Ronnie Hanson wrote the ligh house and stuff. I heard him tell a story. Lady come up to the side of the door and say, I'm not sure if they've done a concert.
Brother Hanson and I enjoyed the singing and said, Ronnie, he gets into it. He's animated. He loves God. She said, you really don't have to get up here and carry on like that to sing gospel.
He said, look there and said, Sister, I know you don't. You don't have to take a bath either, but it feels good. Sometimes it's just hard to stand still when you feel the presence of God. Amen.
You get those spiritual goosebumps up and down your spine. I get excited about God. I can't help it. He's God.
How can you not get excited about God? He's alive. And he loves us. He knows us by name.
He knows every hair on your head. Amen. He knows everything about us. And he still is alive.
Amen. Thank you Lord. It's wonderful to be a child of God. And I'm thankful that he's coming back soon and very soon.
You say, well, I like to have that joy that I see in you. Well, you know what? Oh, you got to do this for it. Amen.
Master, season one, take us in prayer here. Whatever you need in your life. God's got the answer for it. Father, we come to you Lord.
We praise you and we thank you. Father, in your word is life and you have the answer to every problem that we face and Father, you're bigger than any problem we face. The word of God says nothing is impossible to those that believe. And Father, I praise you today.
Father above all, I'd ask if anybody be watching this doesn't know you that they would repent of their sin. That means to turn from sin right now, confess it. That means to tell you what their sin is. They would call out to you and ask you to save them.
And Father, by the blood of Jesus Christ, I know you'll answer. For you said, whosoever we'll call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Father, I praise you and thank you for that. And only Father, thank you for all the things you're doing, all the things we see you're doing, and even the things we don't see that you're doing.
Father, I praise you and thank you. Thank you for your word. And these things I give thanks for in Jesus name. Amen.
Amen. I want to tell you something. Listen closely with your heart. And I believe if you listen intently with your heart, you can almost hear Jesus say, child, launch out into the deal and let down your net and prepare for a drought.
The last things are coming. He wants to load your basket full. Until next week, this is Pastor Tim, Pastor Steve, saying, we love you. We appreciate you stopping by and joining us here on Spiritual Impact.
Tell somebody about the program. Pray for us. Let's lift one another up, and we'll see you next time. Thank you and God bless.
