In early 2014 while on one of their ministry road trips, Tim & Gale began sharing their hearts with each other concerning their ministry and what God was placing in their hearts. Feeling a strong desire to be in God`s will, they both knew it was time to come off the road and to plant a new church. With no ready building, congregation, money or anything else they thought would be needed to begin a church, they simply placed their faith in God and His call and trusted Him to guide them one step at a time. “Abundant Life Worship Center” was the name God placed on their heart to call the new church. TRANSCRIPT · AUTO-GENERATED

I hope you're excited today, two reasons. First, you're watching Spiritual Impact, but this is a day that the Lord has made, and we shall rejoice and be glad in it. So I'm excited anytime that I can be where God said that He would meet us at, and that's when we gather in His name. So we gather on this program today.

I'm Senior Pastor Tim Parton of Abundant Life Worship Center. I'm joined by my Associate Pastor and my very good friend, Pastor Steve Rose. How are you doing, Dave Steve? I'm doing well, Pastor, and I tell you I'm glad to be here with our friends and our partners today, and I've got some excited to talk about today.

I tell you. It is, absolutely. I've seen so many shows, you know, a lot of times they'll say it and they'll talk about the things that God will be like, God is love, God is life. I'm like, you know what?

Let's be excited about it. I'm telling you today, accept the Lord, build the house. How are you? That comes from Psalms 127.1.

The first part of that verse says, accept the Lord, build the house, they labor, and vain that, build it. Amen. The boy when he builds, does he build? Oh, yes, he does.

So, you know, that ought to get everybody excited. You know, think about it. We serve Creator God. He is the only living true God.

They ought to get us excited today and motivated. I make you want to jump up and run around the kitchen table there. Raise your hands and just praise Him glorifying Him. Really, seriously.

Bible says that in all things we should acknowledge Him. That's what we're doing today. But I'm excited to get into the Word of God, Pastor Steve. So, I say today, like I said, one of the things we believe in too is we'd like to do it to the Lord Jesus did it.

He said, when he went into a place, he first talked in the Word of God. And when you teach Him the Word of God, then they know something about what you're getting ready to preach to them. He would teach firstly, we preach to them the Word of God. He says, in miracles would take place.

If I come here today and I said today, Hallelujah, we're going to talk about hermeneutics. Today, we're talking about hermeneutics. I'm glad everybody's excited about it. And some people are going, yeah, we're excited about it.

We don't want ideas. Okay. Hermeneutics is just basically the interpretation of the Word of God. It's the little interpretation of the Word of God.

So, that's why we try to teach about things today. You know, sometimes when you're reading the Word of God, you'll read something and God will bring another verse to your mind. And I believe that's the Spirit of God talking to us saying, hey, look at these things. And I don't see exactly, you may have a little, I guess, weird feeling how these put together or how these linked together.

And I'm going to show you how I believe these linked together when I was studying it. But we're going to actually hear some words that came from a guy named Gammie Ale. Now, Gammie Ale was a teacher of the law and he was probably one of the best teachers of the law at the time. Paul's teacher.

Yeah. This is Gammie Ale. He addressed the counsel after the re-arrest of the apostles of what we're getting. They put the apostles in jail and then all of a sudden they went back to get them the next day and they were gone.

Doors were shut. Doors were locked and they said, but they're not there. But you know, they said, oh, we found them. They're in the temple.

They're down there preaching and teaching about Jesus. So, they brought them back in. But this Gammie Ale, he stood up and dressed the counsel once they brought them back in. And Gammie Ale led a liberal faction of the Pharisees.

So, I mean, he was a Pharisee of the Pharisees just like Paul was. And again, he was the greatest student of the apostle Paul. He studied the feet of Gammie Ale and learned many of the things he did at the feet of Gammie Ale. But you know, after all things you said and done, Paul said, all the things that I learned, he said, I counted them laws that I might know Jesus.

And I tell you, praise God, hallelujah. But we're in Acts chapter 5, as we're going to be at Acts chapter 5. And I'm going to start at verse 31. It says, him have God exalted with his right hand to be prince and a savior, for to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

It says, and when we are his witnesses of these things, and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. And give them, that's when they stood up and they'd talk to these people who are educated. And said, they'd marvel because they're unlearned men. Well, the Word's teaching them from the Word to the power of the Holy Spirit that's working in the hearts of these believers.

That's the same power that's in us today is the power of the Holy Spirit of God. And then it goes down on to verse 34. It says, verse 33 says, and when they heard that, they were cut to the heart and took counsel to slay them. They got under conviction, they go, we don't like that.

They're saying, we're not going to have that in here. You just cut us to the heart because you know what he did? They told them the truth. And the truth is what they couldn't accept because they didn't like Jesus and who he was.

The truth either sets you free or it'll point your failures out there. Sure will. And that's what it's supposed to do. And we're looking at this, is then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee named Gammiel, a doctor of the law.

He had a reputation among all the people and commanded to put the apostles forth for a little space. So he says, hey, I'll tell you what, put them outside for just a minute and let's talk. So they took the apostles, they rushed them out of the room, they put them outside and he stood up and he said, and he said unto them, it's talking about Gammiel. He said, he said, he said unto them, you believe in Christ, but he believed in a principle.

He believed in a principle. In case he says, and he said unto them, you men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do is touching these men. He said, you better be careful what you're getting ready to do. He says, for these days, he says, before these days rose up the edious, boasting himself to be somebody to whom a number of men, about 400 joined themselves who were slain and all as many as obeyed him were scattered and brought to not.

He says, after this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing and drew away much people after him. He also perished and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. He says, there's two people rose up and they said they were on fire for God and they were sitting there and said, when they died it all went for naught. Now you see where we're getting there except the Lord build the house.

And verse 38, when I read this verse, this is when God told me the other verse, he says in verse 38 he says, and now I say unto you, refrain from these men and let them alone, for if this counsel or this word be of men it will come to naught, but if it be of God you cannot overthrow it. At least happily you be found even to fight against God. He's saying, I'm not telling you I feel that right there when I start thinking about that. He says, you better be really careful.

He says, you may be fighting against God himself. So he says, leave it alone. He says, at time will tell whether or not this will be of God. Because he said, if it's of God, he says, you ain't going to be able to stop it.

But he says, if it's not he'll come to naught. Now after this they brought them back in. You know what they did. They didn't refrain completely from doing what they did.

Because they said, after this they were brought in, they were beaten and told they could not speak in the name of Jesus again. So they brought them in, don't listen. Don't you ever speak in the name of Jesus again. But they rejoiced, they rejoiced because they were allowed to be beaten for the cause of Christ.

Now how many, today if we got beaten one time, we'd be like, you know, I love Jesus, but that hurt. But these men rejoiced. And it says daily, they cease naught to teach and preach Jesus in the temple and every house. You know, a lot of times the day pastor Steve, people are ready to fight.

If somebody just says something about them, we as the church don't really know persecution like these men. Now it may be coming and we see things starting to happen in this world that the church is under persecution. And I'm afraid that that's going to get worse. But you know what God is still God and God will protect us and God will bring us through.

And I was, you know, he says, touch not mind knowing he didn't do my prophets, no harm. And this was wisdom speaking here because if it's of God, you may not understand it, but you better not say anything against it. You better leave it alone. If there's something going on and you don't quite grasp what it is, you just pray about it.

You used to have God to help you to understand, to increase your knowledge because it's dangerous. Put your hand against God or his work and it is. You know, you're finding the scriptures about a man called Bill Shazor. He found out he made a mockery of God and he paid for it with his life and his entire kingdom fell.

So, you know, God is not to be played with, but you know, he is merciful, but he's not weak. No, he's not. And we look at this again, except God build a house. He built a building in vain.

Now when you're looking at this, we're sitting there in a lot of times we think of God build a house. We're talking about, well, if he don't build the church, this is talking about your house too. My, this isn't exactly. It says, do you not know that we are the temple of the living God?

Listen, he don't dwell in the modern building. When we come together, yes, his spirit's there. But you know what? He dwells here in these vessels.

You know, God had given back in Moses day the 10 commandments, but, and they, they loved the law, but they loved it so much. They felt the need to add what, 633. 33 more things to it because they wanted to get there persuasion in there. You know, I believe that the 10 that God gave was more than enough.

And you look at that, you have the first commandment, you have no other gods before me. Second commandment, you should not make any graven images. Third commandment, you can't take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy.

Then honor thy father and thy mother so that your days will be long. That's a commandment we promise right there. Thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not lie, and thou shalt not cove it. Those are the 10 commandments right there.

And they're perfect because the first one deals with your relationship with God. The second one is dealing with your relationship with man. You know, I equate all these other commandments. It's no different in the church world today and years past.

We just call them traditions, but it's basically the same thing. And the man says, you know, I've had people, maybe something in their past that said, you know, God can't use me because I did this. And I'll tell them, see, wait a minute, you're telling me that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness. And when we're saved, the word itself tells us that it's cast into the sea of forgetfulness to never be remembered no more, as far as the east is to the west.

Now you're telling me that same God is telling you because of something in your past that he forgave you for, that he forgot, as though it never happened. Now you can't work for him. I think that's two, when you go back and you look at this, you know, God does forget because he can't lie. So, but man doesn't.

But now that's what they were saying here. He says, should we listen to you or should we listen to God? He says, we're going to listen to God and see if we listen to man, we'll always have that doubt there because somebody will be going, what you want to do this or what you want to do that? And here you're always in condemnation.

But you know, when we're walking in the spirit, there is no condemnation when we walk in the spirit. Dale Wade, many years ago, had a song that simply said, the old man is dead. So, if I'm saying, you know, Steve, you used to know that man's dead. He's buried.

He's long gone. We are a new creature in Christ. He's created all things new. Now, from that point on, you know, there's still struggles we face.

There's times that we fail God. There's things that we do wrong. Paul said we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous, who is faithful and just forgive us our sins. And you know what?

He's merciful. But it's a daily walk, a daily process. We don't dwell in our past. We don't live there anymore.

I've told people before, give your past a burial, do a eulogy over it, whatever you feel like you need to do, bury it and walk away and leave it in a graveyard. And so, again, that's what we do, too. Paul said, for getting those things which are behind, he said, we press on. There's the struggle.

He said, we press on toward the high calling in Christ Jesus. That's the call home. It's going to be a struggle until we get home. And when you look at that struggle, it's well worth the struggle.

Because many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers us out of them all. Amen. You know, in the church world, we should be encouraging one another, lifting one another up. Now, this is not a license to just continue to do the same things wrong over and over.

Because if you repent, then you know that's wrong. And there's some growth in maturity that comes in being just because you get saved today. Don't mean you know everything. There's a process.

And you're going to struggle and you're going to make some mistakes in the maturing process. But when you grow up and you mature, and there'll still be things, but it's always your learning. But if I keep going back and doing the same things over and over and over again, then I'm not sorry for it. I'm using that as a legalism.

And in the Old Testament too, you know, God always had a lot of times he'd have set up a landmark. And see, I think people do that in their lives today, so spiritual landmarks. But the landmark was never meant to keep you there. The landmark was to remind you of the goodness of God and where He brought you from.

And see so many people are chained to something that are passed. Even when God's forgiven them, if the sun sets you free. You're free indeed. Nobody else can change you back to that.

Only your own conscious mind can keep you there. Because He sets you free. He broke every chain. When we look at that, it says the anointing destroys the oak.

A lot of times we say it breaks the oak, but something broken can be put back together. But the anointing destroys the oak. That means it can't be put back together. So when He came in and broke that yoke off of us, the yoke of the enemy, it says He destroyed it.

Hallelujah. Set free. It can't be built back. It makes all things new.

You know, most of us, well, all of us have a past. And a lot of us have messed up some more than others in that past. But that's the beauty of Jesus and what He did at Calvary. He said, I create all things new.

And so I'm glad that through Him, we can get that fresh start, that house that He is now building. You know, we cobble, you know, we were born to serve Him, but we're straight. We've all born in sin and we've all failed. But when we come to the knowledge of that and we repent and we begin to serve Him as Savior, then He rebuilds this old vessel up to a vessel of honor instead of a vessel of dishonor.

And the things that we once loved, all of a sudden I'll hate. The things I did hate. Now I love. We love serving God.

There should be a joy and a passion in your life. When it's church time, I can't wait to get there. Because I know that the Spirit of God is going to be there. And when the Spirit of God is there, things change in people's lives.

People's problems disappear. Hey, man, maybe people are lifted up and courage. They're baptized in the Holy Spirit. Amen with that fire.

And that's what we need today. I think that's what's lacking in our churches is we don't have enough of the fire of God working in our life. And it could be that again, why we don't have that fire because we're still held onto something that's in the past. Even though what you quoted the Word of God, the Bible says the Lord cannot lie.

He is not like me and He cannot lie. He says He forgets it. When you're going back and Lord forgive me of that, what I did, He's going what? And He don't mean it.

Not as far as saying, I really do remember it. I'm just not telling you what He says is, I don't remember it. And He doesn't remember it because He forgives it. But man is the one that keeps us bound up like that.

And people that keep our mind in your past like that, I can't say they're led by the Spirit of God. Because the Spirit of God is life. And I mean, He gives us life. He gives it more abundantly.

He encourages people by the tongue. Well, the enemy uses our past against us. People try to use our past against us. But we're not judges of each other.

Now, we know a tree by the fruit that it bears. That's not us judging that tree or anything like that. It's just simply acknowledging, you know somebody that's living for God versus somebody that's not living for God. I mean, because the evidence shows.

You don't have to judge or anything like that. You can see the evidence in their life. If I proclaim to live according to Scripture, then there's going to be evidence of that in my life. I don't have to wear a sign or this or that.

I remember when I first started working a job as a young man, at lunchtime I'd go out to my car and I would read in Scripture. Well, the supervisor, he was an elder gentleman. He came up with me one day and he looked through my window and he said, son, do you believe what that book says? And I said, yes sir, I do.

He said, I believe that. He said, I noticed there was something different about you than some of the other boys. It was just, I had Jesus. Jesus makes a difference.

He shows. My mom always told us when we were going up boys, you can't hide a big thing as God in your life. That's really good. And you know, when we talk about except God build a house, then we go back to, you know, when you build a house, you have to have plans for it.

And you know what he says, he has plans for us too. He does. And quote it. I know you love that verse.

Oh, he's got plans for life to give us a hope and an expected end and a promise. You know, in the future. And Jeremiah 29 and 11, we love it. I went all over to our church.

There's so much in there. It's just not that we talk about a lot of times about taking a scripture word for word. But we like to get in there and dig that in because there's so much in there. It's not just a verse in the Bible.

When you really start getting in there, you start digging out the fruit. Absolutely. And the treasure. Absolutely.

And how do you build God's house? Right here. That's the word of God that teaches us how to build a house that God wants. And some times you see people that say, they'll get ready to do something and you'll say, well, what do you think about that?

And I'll say, well, God's word says. No God's word says, but what do you think about it? Well, it doesn't matter what I think about it. If it's God's word, give him God's word.

And they'll say, I know it says that. But, well, if God says it, there is no one about it. I mean, a lot of times it'll go against the word of God trying to build God's house and the one he wants. You know we should be seeking the Lord.

If God builds the house, I'm telling you, he's got to build these houses. And the only way he does is through our reading of the word. It says, faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. It's important to hear the preaching of the word of God.

And just like we're joining here, I think we're preaching a little today and teaching a little today, feeling a little bit of both. And I think it feels good. Absolutely. Anytime you start getting into the word of God, there is a stirring of the water.

And I would hate to simply open my Bible and read and just to be and not feeling anything. I can't help it. And I look at that. The word of God that we've talked about this before is live.

This is actually God himself speaking to us. When we look at it that way. So we aren't get excited about the word of God. And we are to have a desire to serve him.

No matter what the world says about us, no matter what man tries to do to us, no matter how much we're persecuted, the joy of the Lord is our strength. You know what? If somebody hits you and knows because you love Jesus, that might hurt, but it's going to heal up. That joy is going to remain.

You can't take that away. And I sure ain't giving it away. And say really that's really not the way you can lose that joy is to give it away. That's it.

Jesus talks about the joy that I gave you. He says the world can't take it away. The faith comes to steal, kill and destroy. But if you're watching and sitting on the wall there and you're watching, we know his devices.

And we know when the enemy is coming at us. And we know when it's Jesus talking to us versus when it's the enemy talking to us. Because Jesus said, my sheep know my voice and the stranger they will not follow. So when we hear the two voices, then we discern the spirits.

And I say, you know, it's easy to discern spirits because you're going to know the voice of God and you're going to know the voice of the enemy. So, it's funny you mentioned that watchman right there. I thought, man, Lord, you've put all this together. Because, you know, when you look at Psalms 127 verse 1 says, the first part of it says, except the Lord build a house.

They labor and they build it. Second part of that one says, except the Lord keep the city, the watchman, watch it, and vain. So, see how it just comes back together and God puts everything together. I tell you, I love that.

I love that. I love the Holy Spirit of God and how we teach them. We learn things together. I think that's one of the greatest things that we want to do through this show is to help people understand and learn about the Lord and learn about the Word of God.

Take it a little bit deeper. I mean, think about it. It says, you know, when we read Psalms and we see that word, say, la, and really when you look at it, it's hard to define that word really. But I like to find it stopping ponder.

Stop and think about it just a little bit. I've told people, you know, a lot of people get in there and read their Bible every day just to reach chapters. I'd rather read a few verses and think about it and really start to study it. And it says study to show that self-approval.

Wordman, it needs not to be a shame rightly dividing the word of the tree. So, we need to slow down and study that word. Amen. You know, maybe our viewers today, somebody's out there and you struggle with some issues in your life.

Want to know, is this God or is this just me? Simply I got to do is seek his face. He will not leave you without an answer. If there's something that you're needing an answer from him for, you simply say, God, I don't understand this.

Open up my understanding. Help me to know how this applies to my life. And that's how we're supposed to do scripture and what we read as to God. I know this was then, how does it apply to my life today?

And he'll always let us know what we need to do. And he'll simply just trust him and believe in him. Maybe you're watching today and you don't know Jesus. He's just a prayer away.

We're going to go with the Lord and pray right now. And, Master Steve, if you'll take us before the throne, whatever your situation is, you trust God. He's going to bring you through. Father above all, there'll be anyone that's lost, Lord.

I pray that they pray for your faith. I ask you to forgive them of their sins. And Father, I know that your faithful and Justin, you'll do that. You'll cleanse them of their sins.

You'll save their soul. Father, I praise you and thank you for this opportunity to share the Word of God. I didn't mean Father that day, Lord. We want to know how to build this house.

We want to know how to be the one that's pleasing to you. And then we Father, we thank you for all the blessings of your Word that every promise is true and the Word of God says every promise is in Christ Jesus and they are yes and amen. Father, thank you, Lord. For those that are joining us today, thank you for those that support the ministry and thank you for those that are watching today.

And then we follow the Lord that love the Lord. And Father, we thank you for the time of fellowship. We're here together, studying your Word, preaching the Word of God. And then we follow the help of this Lord to use that Word again to apply that Word to our life to help build our house.

Where we want the house to be able to build the Lord. Father, these things we give thanks for in Jesus name. Amen. Pastor, we'd like to invite everybody to come to a Bunnett worship service and send her down to the Severeville, Tennessee.

We're at 923, Dolly Parton Parkway again in Severeville, Tennessee. And you can join us by the website at alwcsevereville.com or you can email us at alwcsevereville.com or telephone number 865-366-1173. And we do live stream our services on Facebook and speaking of our services. We have Sunday morning worship at 11 a.m.

And then we have a Wednesday night service at 6.30 p.m. We just love preaching, teaching, singing about Jesus Christ. We have some good musicians, some good singers there, and Pastor Stephen the Self. We do our best to preach this gospel.

And we talk a lot of times about when it comes from the throne to us. Man, it's good. If we can just halfway get it to the people away it comes to us. We get excited because God is good.

And it's exciting to be a child of God. We live in some trouble times, but that doesn't change our life with Jesus. It is the same. And it gets sweeter and sweeter every day.

But we hope that you've enjoyed Spiritually Impact today and that you'll plan to be back with us again next week. Tell somebody about the program and we invite you if you like to help sponsor. We would love to encourage that. But until next week this is Pastor Tim Parton along with Pastor Steve Rose saying, God bless you.

We love you. And if you'll just take the time to get in that word, you'll find a lot of good things for your life. Amen. Amen.
