Born in 1999, the Italian DJ and producer has spent the last few years building his catalogue around tough, groove-led tech house. His sets have taken him through clubs including ilMuretto and CirQ in Venice and Milan’s Rocket Club, while his productions have found support from Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Ilario Alicante, Jamie Jones, Adam Beyer, Cloonee, Dennis Cruz and Wade. 2026 has been particularly busy. ATLAC opened the year with his 'Handclap' EP on Loco Dice’s Desolat, pairing the rolling title track with the heavier 'Smokin On', before following up with 'Hood Beat' on Hellbent and 'Goes Like This' for Metamorfosi Records. Then came a big one. August saw ATLAC make his debut on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with the two-track 'You Can Move' EP. The title cut gets straight to work with rolling drums, a thick bassline and a vocal built for the middle of a busy room. 'Strong' strips things back further, leaning into warped vocals and a more hypnotic groove. Both tracks were apparently put together in just a few hours before ATLAC sent them directly to Jamie. That directness runs straight through this week’s Spotlight Mix. Tony Romera and Gaba’s 'Naughty' gets things moving before Kidoo, Chico Rose, Fer BR, Artslaves, Braydon Terzo, White Off, Detlef, Dames House, Marchisio and Jason Detox all make appearances. It stays locked into that rolling tech house pocket throughout, plenty of drums, clipped vocals and basslines doing the heavy lifting. But the interesting bit is how much ATLAC material he’s packed into the hour. Alongside 'You Can Move', we get 'Fader Up', 'Let’s Move', 'Can’t Stop', 'Hood Beat', 'Broke Man' and 'Venom'. Seven of his own tracks across sixteen selections, which makes this as much a snapshot of where his productions are heading as it is a DJ mix. There’s no messing around with the pacing either. The records keep moving, the groove stays tight and there’s enough unreleased-looking ATLAC material in here to suggest the Hottrax release is only part of what he’s got lined up.
