This is is about a juicy butt cheek. They called, “Squib Cakes.” I like butt cheeks. Doesn’t everyone? The original bass part is important, but getting as close as possible will help everyone keep their place in the long chart. We don’t play it like the original because the original recording has an epic organ solo by Chester Thomas. The bass part is written out for the head and the ending, but not the solo sections. I had to memorize that and do lots of studying. Again, the bass part was not easy for me and has required lots of practice just to do what I’m doin’ now. The OG bass player is a TITAN. Bass: Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe 4 String… also known as “Bread and Butter.” when I was a full-time musician I used this bass for long periods of time. I modified it for longevity.
