I dare you to name something better than zombie schoolgirls. This gory, fun homage to American horror legend George Romero is a Japanese hidden gem directed by Naoyuki Tomomatsu. A strange virus infects the world’s teenage girls and one girl, doomed to die and reanimate into a bloodthirsty ghoul, finds friendship in her last days. It’s full of iconic characters, nods to classic zombie movies, and loads and loads of gratuitous violence and guts.
