At just 18 years old, he represented South Africa at the 1997 Junior World Softball Championship in Newfoundland, Canada, and quickly earned a spot on the senior national team the same year after an outstanding performance.He went on to represent South Africa from 1997 to 2009 and served as Senior National Team Captain.
