Stages of Occupational Therapy Treatment in Rehabilitation

How do you do your intervention? Is there is there a formula? Is there anything out there that can guide you?In this episode, I talk about, the long forgotten, stages of Occupational Therapy treatment in physical rehabilitation. We always talk about the process of OT at he university, in clinical placements , from referral, to assessment, to intervention, to discharge. We have forgotten that the intervention also has a process. It has a continuum that some OTs, particularly the experts, do unknowingly. In this episode, I came to a realization that we may be forgetting the first two of the process. This is probably why our OTs are losing the treatment skills. I hope that this episode will stimulate the listener's drive to explore and rekindle their clinical skills.
