Would kick off the night with indie bands Jejune and Ethel Meserve followed by The Album Leaf, all live – then shift into a night of rare funk, soul and disco a the Numero Group x Star Creature DJ nights. When moving around the country, mostly found myself listening to calmer, chiller styles, riding the trains or just walking around – most often through crowded spaces, seeking tranquility through sound. Just getting back to Chicago and headed out to a new venue to catch a show – Megiapa was performing with DJ Sets from King Hippo – That was last night so this mix also kind of picks up from the vibe where that show left me off.
