Picard revisits the traumatic moment when he was a child as his mother had a breakdown which almost led to his death. With the help of Tallinn he faces his deepest struggle to wake from his coma state and learns that his father was not the monster he thought. As Tallinn convinces Picard that this trauma helped him save millions in the galaxy. There’s more to this memory but Picard awakes and realises this is all part of Q’s plan for him. The only way to beat Q is to know him better. Jean Luc reconnects with Guinnan at her bar to contact him but the FBI turn up instead and arrest them both. As Rios tries to explain the advanced technology they used on Jean Luc to Dr Theresa he gives up and tells her and her son Ricardo the truth, as proof he transports them aboard La Serena revealing they are all from the future. Seven and Raffi follow the trail of Jeratti and realise the crew of La Serena may have introduced the Borg to earth before they have any way of defending themselves against them.
