Statement On The Free Hand Surgery Mission and Registration Process

Individuals interested in being reviewed and considered for surgery must visit their nearest public health facility including wellness Centres, Polyclinics, or Community Hospitals for registration and screening by Monday, March 31, 2025. Private healthcare providers may refer patients using the official referral form distributed by the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). All registered patients, along with walk-ins, are required to attend a pre-surgical assessment on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at either the Owen King EU Hospital from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, or the St. Jude Hospital from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Patients are kindly asked to bring any relevant diagnostic results or medical documents to support their review. The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs urges members of the public with hand or upper extremity concerns to take full advantage of this extraordinary opportunity.
