Stephen Stott: Embrace the Darkness

About Stephen Stott: Stephen Stott is a nomadic soul who has moved over 30 times, a queer person of color raised by a single mom, and someone who found resilience after losing his sister Stacy in a car accident they were both in. Growing up without a clear sense of belonging or a roadmap for someone like him, Stephen chose to write his own playbook. Through this journey, he discovered somatic breathwork, which transformed his grief and isolation into connection and purpose. Today, he empowers others to take the challenges life throws at them and turn them into fuel for their dreams. Stephen's story is a testament to the power of transformation, proving that anyone ready to take the first breath can go from feeling lost to thriving. In this episode, Jennie Bellinger and Stephen Stott discuss: Importance of networking and making unexpected connections Transformative power of somatic breath work for grief and self-acceptance Gentle, customizable approach to breath work versus intense practices Breath work as a complement or alternative to traditional therapy Practical applications of breath work for personal and professional growth Key Takeaways: Somatic breath work can be a profound tool for personal transformation, helping individuals process deep-seated emotions and find a sense of self-acceptance; and Stephen’s own experience with overcoming grief through breath work is a testament to its transformative potential. Stephen emphasizes the importance of a gentle, customized approach that meets individuals where they are. Breath work offers an alternative or complementary approach that taps into the body's innate wisdom. The power of breath work extends beyond personal transformation, as it can also enhance one's ability to show up fully for their family, clients, and other important relationships. By providing a free, guided breath work session, Stephen demonstrates his commitment to making this transformative practice accessible to a wider audience. "I try to find the balance of seeing more of a gentle practice, because if people google it, … [they see] people having intense emotions and they're hitting the ground or that they're yelling or they're blowing their eyes out… I help you build the foundation for you to get there, so that when you're ready to go there, then we can get there together.” — Stephen Stott Connect with Stephen Stott:  Facebook Name: https://www.facebook.com/tranquility.strength Facebook Business Page: https://www.facebook.com/LLC.EmbraceTheDarkness/ LinkedIn URL: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephen-j-stott-/ Instagram Link: https://www.instagram.com/echigoya85/ Instagram Business Link: https://www.instagram.com/stephen_embracethedarkness/ Link to Gift from Stephen Stott: Grab Stephen’s Exclusive Guided Meditation Program! https://www.embracethedarkness.org/somatic-breathwork-101 Connect with Jennie: Website: https://badassdirectsalesmastery.com/ Email:  [email protected] Facebook personal page: https://facebook.com/jbellingerPL Facebook podcast page: http://facebook.com/BadassDirectSalesMastery Facebook group for Badass Crew: https://facebook.com/groups/BadassDirectSalesMoms Instagram: https://instagram.com/BadassDirectSalesMastery Personal Instagram: https://instagram.com/jenniebellinger LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/BadassDirectSalesMastery The Badass Direct Sales Mastery Podcast is currently sponsored by the following:Bella Grace Elixir: https://shopbellagrace.com/?ref=jenniebadassdirectsalesmastery LeadBuddy Digital Marketing: Use code BDSM when checking out at https://leadbuddy.io/pro-monthly-9310?am_id=jennie582 Show Notes by Podcastologist: Hanz Jimuel Alvarez Audio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions.
