After beginning his career as a professional photographer, Steven entered brand management at The Clorox Company where he led the new products group. In 1987, Steven left Clorox to create a new breed of consultancy that ­blends excellence in both brand strategy and design expression. For 20 years, Steven’s passion in helping companies find the deepest resonance with their audiences has led a diverse group of clients to seek out the firm’s unique talents. Clients include Intel, Kashi Foods, GE Healthcare, 24 Hour Fitness, Blue Shield, Sephora, Williams Sonoma, Lego, UC Berkeley, Planned Parenthood, Caesars Palace, Shutterfly, Safeway, and Pepsi. Today, Addis Creson focuses on creating positive change in the world in four distinct practice areas: Healthy Lifestyle (food, fitness, healthcare, beauty), Social Change (green brands, political, social betterment), Future Tense (innovation, technology, education), and Shared Experience (retail, hospitality, online). In addition to the Addis Creson board of directors, Steven is a director of Money and Politics Forum (MAPLight.org) and trustee of the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive. Steven is also an advisor to: Texas Pacific Group Ventures, Axiom Venture Partners, Bayside Ventures, and Joie de Vivre Hospitality. Steven serves on the Leadership Council of Planned Parenthood Golden Gate and is Chairman of the Barbary Coast chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
